Nino Pippa

Born on the island of Sardinia, Nino Pippa began drawing and using oil paints to reflect his Mediterranean surroundings from an early age.  When he was thirteen, Armando Gaglioni, a teacher from Florence, recognized his potential and encouraged Pippa to pursue formal training. Before moving to the United States, Pippa traveled to England where he studied for two and a half years under Edward Seago. Although Seago has been a great influence, Pippa’s work has drastically shifted from Impressionism to sardonic Conceptualism.
