Condition Report: Signed “A. Rosenthal 1945” lower right. Both painting and frame are in good condition.

Born in Russia, Rosenthal is listed as having lived in Rockport, Massachusetts and New York City. He studied at the Art Students League, Cooper’s Union Art School, and with Emile Gruppe. He was a member of the Rockport Art Association. Rosenthal’s work was reproduced in the Christian Science Monitor in 1950.
