Mountains of Tomorrow

Mary Ann Sullivan’s art journey started in the Chicago area with many dedicated and talented teachers. After moving to New England she worked as an interior designer for 20 years, which gave her the outlet she needed to satisfy her creative urges.
“The homes I redesigned and refurnished became my blank canvases, and I loved doing it. With retirement looming, the NHIA (New Hampshire Institute of Art) became my second home for the next 5 years. It opened the door for me to realize that painting was my real passion. I truly believe that once an artist, always an artist. I prefer to allow the viewer to find their own interpretation when considering my work, as much of it is abstract. I am always surprised to see how other people interpret it. My goal as an artist is to create beautiful, affordable art for my viewers.”
